Fajardo to Isle de Palominos, Puerto Rico

March 6, 2014

Crack of dawn…that was the plan – we warned Tim and Blenda that we would need to start out early because the winds were going to pick up throughout the day.  So up and at ‘em – we left Fajardo by 8:00 a.m. and sailed and motored our way to Isle de Palominos.  It is a small island off the coast of Puerto Rico.  We picked up a mooring ball and then pulled D-Time out.  We headed to an even smaller island that I dubbed “Blenda’s Island”.  It was really small, she and I almost walked all the way around it before Daniel and Tim had the anchor set on D-Time.  After we “explored” the island, we went back to Isle de Palominos and explored there.  It is a resort island and we watched the ferries bring people back and forth to visit it all day.  After lunch, Tim and I went snorkeling and Blenda settled down with a good book.  We had a very nice first day with Tim and Blenda on board and finished our day with a wonderful  spaghetti dinner and a beautiful sunset.
