Fajardo, Puerto Rico

March 4, 2014

Today was “boat day”.  Daniel fixed things with stuff he bought from West Marine yesterday and from the local marina - he got a new motor for our windlass for $300 from the local marina!  What a deal!  Brand new motor – we were pretty happy about that because we were looking at spending $1,500 for a new windlass, so $300 was a deal.  The local marina had one and it just worked.  Happy, happy.  I spent the day cleaning and cooking, getting ready for our friends, Blenda and Tim to arrive.  I was able to squeeze in a little time to read a book and take a nap.  Life is busy in the Caribbean.  We have a car reserved for in the morning and we will go pick Blenda and Tim up at the airport in San Juan tomorrow afternoon.  Our first “company” on the boat since we left Charleston – it will be fun to see and spend some time with them.
